1. Agreement to Terms
By using doorman.dev or related Services provided by Doorman Dev, LLC, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the Services. Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
2. Services Provided
We provide:
- A hosted API gateway service.
- Access to open-source software (Apache 2.0 license applies).
- Related documentation, support, and developer tools.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any Service at any time.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services.
4. Accounts & Security
- You must provide accurate account information.
- You are responsible for maintaining account credentials and API keys.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
5. Acceptable Use Policy & Prohibited Data
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Send spam, malware, or unauthorized automated requests.
- Attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineering, or disruption of the Services.
- Host or transmit illegal or infringing content.
Prohibited Data: You will not transmit or store regulated or sensitive data (including PHI under HIPAA, full payment card data under PCI DSS, government-issued IDs, or children’s data) unless expressly agreed in a separate written agreement. We are not a HIPAA Business Associate and do not support processing of PHI.
Fair Use & Protection: To maintain platform security and stability, we may rate-limit, throttle, or suspend usage that degrades service quality or poses security risk, including abusive traffic patterns or attacks.
6. Intellectual Property & Customer Data
- Our Services, trademarks, and branding are owned by Doorman Dev, LLC.
- Open-source code is governed by the Apache 2.0 License (see LICENSE file).
- Customer Data: You retain all rights in data you submit to or through the Services ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Services and to comply with law.
- Service Data: We may generate or collect telemetry, logs, and usage metrics related to operation of the Services ("Service Data"). We own Service Data and may use it in aggregated or de-identified form for security, analytics, and service improvement.
- Confidentiality: Each party will protect the other party’s non-public information with reasonable care and use it only for purposes of the relationship.
- DMCA: Report claimed infringement to [email protected]; we may remove or disable access and process counter-notices where applicable.
7. Payment, Subscription & Overage Terms
- Fees are billed in advance according to your chosen plan ($20/month).
- Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Taxes: Fees exclude taxes and governmental charges; you are responsible for applicable taxes.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period unless canceled. You can cancel anytime to prevent renewal.
- Overage Fees (Data Transfer): Data transfer beyond the included 100 GB monthly allowance is billed at $0.25 per additional GB, calculated and charged in arrears each billing cycle.
- Order Fulfillment: Most orders are provisioned within minutes; however, please allow up to 48 hours for fulfillment in certain cases (e.g., fraud checks, billing verification, or manual review).
8. Data Transfer Accounting
The 100 GB monthly data-transfer allowance counts both inbound and outbound traffic across the gateway’s full round-trip:
- Client → Gateway (inbound)
- Gateway → Upstream (outbound)
- Upstream → Gateway (inbound)
- Gateway → Client (outbound)
Usage beyond the included 100 GB monthly allowance is billed at $0.25 per additional GB.
9. Refund Policy
Unless otherwise stated, all fees are final and non-refundable. If legally required (e.g., under EU law), users may have a limited right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase if no services have been consumed.
10. Service Availability & "AS-IS" SLA
- The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or specific uptime, and provide no financial SLA.
- We reserve the right to perform maintenance or limit access without liability.
11. Warranty Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Our maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of: (i) total fees paid in the past 12 months, or (ii) $100.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Doorman Dev, LLC and its affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.
14. Export Compliance
You represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national/resident of any country subject to U.S. embargo or sanctions.
15. Governing Law & Binding Arbitration
- Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, U.S.A., without regard to conflict of law rules.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the AAA Rules in Orlando, Florida.
- Class Action Waiver: You agree disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only.
16. Termination & Data Deletion
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time. Upon termination or your request, we will delete or return Customer Data within 30 days. Routine backups purge on a rolling 35-day window.

ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY • DOORMAN DEV, LLC
1. Prohibited Network & Traffic Activity
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
- Send email spam or operate unauthorized outbound SMTP mail relays.
- Transmit malware, ransomware, botnets, viruses, or unauthorized automated requests.
- Perform unauthorized vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, port scanning, or brute-force attacks.
- Attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineering, or disruption of the platform infrastructure.
- Host, route, or transmit infringing copyrighted materials or illegal content.
2. Prohibited Data Classifications
You will not transmit or store regulated or sensitive data (including Protected Health Information [PHI] under HIPAA, full payment card data under PCI DSS, government-issued identification numbers, or children’s data) unless expressly agreed in a separate written agreement.
Doorman Dev, LLC is not a HIPAA Business Associate and does not support processing or transit of PHI.
3. Fair Use, Rate Limiting & Platform Defense
To maintain platform security, tenant isolation, and cluster stability:
- We reserve the right to rate-limit, throttle, or temporarily isolate gateways generating anomalous traffic patterns.
- Traffic exceeding 100 GB in a billing cycle is billed at $0.25 per additional GB.
- Immediate termination and traffic null-routing will occur upon detection of active cyberattacks or malicious abuse.
4. Customer Indemnification
Customer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Doorman Dev, LLC, its officers, directors, and employees against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of Customer's proxy traffic or violation of this policy.

1. Introduction & Overview
Doorman Dev, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website doorman.dev and provides hosted API gateway software services. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through compliance with this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Data: Name, email address, and authentication credentials.
- Payment Data: Billing address, payment method, transaction history (processed by trusted third parties such as Stripe; we do not store full payment card details).
- Usage Data: IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, log data, API usage statistics, payload byte counts, and latency performance metrics.
- Cookies & Storage: Session cookies (e.g.,
doorman_tenant) strictly necessary to authenticate sessions and route requests.
We do not collect sensitive categories of data (such as race, religion, health, or biometric data).
3. No Model Training on Customer Data
Zero Model Training: We do not inspect request/response payloads, and under no circumstances do we use Customer Data to train AI/ML models without your explicit written consent.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the hosted gateway service.
- Process subscription billing and meter monthly bandwidth.
- Monitor platform security, detect attacks, and enforce isolation.
- Comply with legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
5. Data Sharing & Subprocessors
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data only with infrastructure providers (hosting, payment processors like Stripe) necessary to operate the service.
6. Data Retention Schedule
- API / Access Logs: 30–90 days for operations, metering, and abuse detection.
- Security Logs & Backups: Security logs up to 180 days; database backups purge on a rolling 35-day window.
- Billing / Invoices: 7 years to satisfy tax and statutory accounting obligations.
7. Security & Safeguards
We implement industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, scoped container isolation, and database access controls. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your data, we will notify you without undue delay.
8. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)
